Erik is a construction worker and wants a better life for himself and his family. That's why he gets a loan to purchase a large piece of construction equipment, which he can then hire out as a subcontractor. Not only that, but he can employ several of his friends in the venture. Jealousy from his peers and numerous mishaps prevent his scheme from working out, and he is forced to look for other alternatives.
