Zvezda Putuje Na Jug

Zvezda Putuje Na Jug

Synopsis

A combined effort of Czechoslovakian and Yugoslavian talents, this respectable musical features the excellent and popular Czech orchestra of Karel Vlach, performing lively and toe-tapping arrangements and doing it well. Along with the musical numbers are several well-timed jokes and a generally light-hearted attitude. The result will be entertaining for most audiences, and at this time in filmmaking history for the region, was certainly a welcome respite from the barrage of wartime, resistance-fighter dramas that filled the screens. This was one of the entries at the 1959 Pula Film Festival.
