Synopsis
A mother plays a prank on her daughter's rival with grim consequences in this independent thriller from director Jeff Phillips. Catharine (Lily Holleman) and Madison (Najarra Townsend) are two teenage girls who were once close friends but have had a falling out; Catharine is shy and suffers from poor self image and depression, while Madison is more outgoing and popular, but has fallen into a funk after her boyfriend broke up with her. Catharine begins spreading vicious gossip about Madison, and when Madison's mother Debbie (Gayla Goehl) gets word of this, she decides to do something about it. Debbie knows that Catharine frequents urFRENZ.com, a popular social networking website, so she turns the tables on Catherine by creating a profile for a handsome teenage boy, have the fictive suitor pursue her on line, then reject her. Catharine falls for the ruse, but the plot ends up going farther than Debbie anticipated, leading everyone involved down a dangerous path. urFRENZ was an official selection at the 2010 Slamdance Film Festival.
