Rachel is a New Yorker fleeing the big city after another "final" break-up with her ex-girlfriend, Reggie. Rachel arrives in San Diego with her emotional baggage intact, and is greeted by her PFLAG mom who has appointed herself Jewish mother of the entire gay universe. Soon Rachel's whole family is encouraging her back into the relationship saddle. Determined to find "Ms. Rightowitz," Mom sets Rachel up with Christine, an adorable native Californian. To Rachel's chagrin, "Mother Knows Best!" and soon the pair is loading up the U-Haul--but old flames are never extinguished without a struggle. Will Rachel run from yet another commitment, or stick around? From your lips to God's ears.
