Synopsis
A heartbreaking tale of love's failure to unite two people. When the teenage wife of a pawnbroker suddenly and inexplicably commits suicide, her distraught husband tries to understand what could have led to such a desperate act. The story unfolds in flashbacks, revealing a pattern of miscommunication and abuse. The free-spirited, inquisitive teenager, known only as "She," had married to escape poverty. Suffocated by her controlling, possessive husband, her gentle nature gradually grows defiant. Shortly after a reconciliation, she decides to end her life.
