An American electronics genius creates a massive computer complex that is capable of independently regulating the national defense of the United States, but it's soon discovered the Russians have built an equally sophisticated computer and that the two machines have linked together, sharing classified information and top secrets. The Americans and Soviets must then join forces to prevent the "monster" computers from seizing control of the world's nuclear missile stockpiles.
