Synopsis
A look at South Korean filmmakers' struggle to protect their national film quota, which requires Korean theaters to show Korean-made films for a certain number of days per year. For Koreans filmmakers, the struggle to earn a living in the face of the United State's expanding film industry is crucial to their livlihood. The film documents hunger strikes by filmmakers in the summer of 1998 up until 1999's South Korea-USA trade negotiations.
