Eleanor B Roosevelt High School is the epitome of suburban America: nerdy teachers, horny students and a principal who mistakes proverbs for real life. But this average suburban community is about to be set on its collective ear when Dinah Groshardt, the lonely, laughable geometry teacher/basketball coach and Carly Lumpkin, frumpy school secretary and wife of the school's algebra teacher, Rom, fall in love. The uproar reverberates from classroom to cafeteria, from bedroom to locker room, from principal's office to PTA, as the parents, teachers and students of Roosevelt High confront their prejudices, and Carly and Dinah discover a mid-life passion that puts the adolescents to shame.
