In this unremittingly grim Bulgarian feature, Sissi (Svetlana Yancheva), who calls herself "The Countess," becomes addicted to heroin while attending a music festival in Sofia. The downward spiral her life takes from then on, and her encounters with the drug culture, sex and violence, and her difficult experiences in government rehabilitation centers all serve to underscore the cautionary message of this film.
