Despite what you thought about the film as a whole, the all-female version of Ghostbusters which premiered this past summer proved that women are more than capable of taking on various roles in Hollywood. With upcoming films like the all-female Ocean’s Eight and Wonder Woman, it looks like Hollywood has decided to pay attention.

Rodney Rothman, the writer of the hilarious 22 Jump Street is working on a female spinoff of 21 Jump Street which he is also hoping to also direct. According to Variety,  the narrative revolves around two female cops who go undercover as students in some sort of school setting; following a similar narrative as the two previous films starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.

Since Rothman has also penned MIB 23, the Men in Black and 21 Jump Street spinoff which will feature Hill and Tatum, we have no clue if the duo will make any cameo appearances in the all-female spinoff. Since we adore 21 Jump Street, we just hope that Rothman does the ladies justice. Perhaps then, we can forgive him for the atrocity that was Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
