’22 Jump Street’ Red Band Trailer Puts Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in Couples Counseling

College: it’s a time of independence, growth and massive parties. And if you’re Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum), it’s time to go back undercover in order to take down a major drug ring. The world’s most incompetent cops — and their reluctant handler, Captain Dickson (Ice Cube) — are back. This time, it seems like the biggest hurdle they’ll face isn’t a terrifying group of gangsters, aggressive sorority girls, or hiding grenades in the worst place imaginable. Before any of that, they’ll have to handle a little trouble in paradise.

Over the course of the first film, we watched Schmidt and Jenko learn to accept themselves and each other, and come together to form the perfect odd-couple partnership. Based on the latest Red Band trailer, however, it seems like the honeymoon is over, and these two are working through their issues in couple’s counseling. It’s not clear whether it’s Schmidt’s new love interest or the feral octopus that’s driving a wedge between the formerly happy couple, but hopefully they’ll find a way through this rough patch. After all, how can you trust a man with your life if he won’t even hold your hand?

22 Jump Street opens June 13.
