This weak attempt at an auteur approach to the subject of alcoholism is at odds with itself. Director Augusto Tretti has set up a series of sketches starring alcoholic housewives, movie stars, and other types of working people. In-between the sketches a panel of psychologists (?) brings up information and data related to the disease of alcoholism. The non-professional cast of alcoholics might have been more wisely substituted by professional non-alcoholics.
