Synopsis
The life of British actress Joan Winmill is depicted. In flashbacks, Winmill's unhappy childhood, and the deaths of her mother and a cousin are recalled, as well as her affair with Robert Kennedy, and her suicidal tendencies stemming from her depression. The film shifts to the present when the actress underg s the religious conversion that changed her life.
