Synopsis
Young, American soldier Joe Bonham was hit by an artillery shell on the last day of World War I and is a quadruple amputee who also lost the use of his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. He now exists in a hospital bed, drifting in and out of memories of his former life. He wants the army to either kill him or put him on display to show the world the horrors of war, but finally realizes that they will do neither, and that he will have to continue to exist in his current state.
