Synopsis
When Mattie Appleyard is released from prison, he intends to go straight. He gets a check for 25,000 dollars from the banker who looked after his money for him while he was incarcerated, with the intention of using the capital to start a general store with two other ex-convicts. But the banker and his former jailer plan to keep this from happening.
