Synopsis
The biography of English, alcoholic writer Malcolm Lowry is told along with readings of his work. Lowry moved to Mexico in 1936 where he started his one important novel, "Under the Volcano" which takes place on the Mexican Day of the Dead. His productivity hampered by his drinking, it took him eight years to finish the book, which he did while living in British Columbia.
