HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 10, 2000 -- Pretty woman Julia Roberts is certainly no stranger to revolution -- or shall we say Joe Roth's Revolution Studios. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the $20 million per pic starlet will lend her star power to the preliminarily titled "Project 3" for the titular studio. The project will reteam Roberts with "The Mexican" helmer Gore Verbinski, who became available after Leonardo DiCaprio dropped out of DreamWorks' "Catch Me If You Can," which he was set to direct. R

The Hollywood Reporter says today that Revolution Studios, headed by former Disney top brass Joe Roth, has bought the tentatively titled "Project 3," a psycho thriller that would star Julia Roberts. Directed by Gore Verbinski, who worked with Roberts on the upcoming "The Mexican," the film is said to be similar to the story of "Gaslight," where a man tries to drive his wife insane. Even PBS lets its hair down and gets a little experimental, in its own, starched collar kind of way. If we can steal gameshows from England, what's to stop the British from moving in on our reality-based TV territory? Nothing, apparently, becaus

Synopsis
Paula Alquist, a late 19th century English singer studying music in Italy, abandons her studies because she's fallen in love with dapper, handsome Gregory Anton. The couple marries and returns to the U.K. and a home inherited by Paula from her aunt, herself a famous singer, who was mysteriously murdered in the house ten years before. Once they have moved in, Gregory, who is in reality a jewel thief and the murderer of Paula's aunt, launches a campaign of terror designed to drive his new bride insane.
