Struggling New York City singer/songwriter Buddy Gilbert (Gavin Bellour) embarks on a tour of the northeast with his pet turtle and his abused neighbor Susan (Elisabeth Moss), and discovers that the journey is the destination while drinking at a rough-and-tumble biker bar, attending a stranger's 100th birthday party, and playing his heartfelt songs for small, unappreciative crowds in this gently romantic road film.
