Thirty-something Marko has lived in Berlin ever since he started his studies. He wanted to put some distance between his parents and himself because their middle-class lifestyle never really made him feel comfortable. He ends up visiting them one or twice a year, so they can see their grandchild, Marko's five-year-old son Zowie. Marko is hoping to have a relatively calm weekend in his provincial hometown, but this time there is news. It turns out his mother has been getting homeopathic treatments for her lifelong manic-depression and she finally feels healthy again for the first time in ages.
