Synopsis
A contemporary tale in three acts. Each is self-contained but linked by a common theme: the interplay of dreams and reality. In Act I, on a fine afternoon a shepherd watches over his flock. As the sky begins to darken, he finds an inn in which to spend the night, where he meets another traveller. The innkeeper tells them local custom dictates they must carry out a task before they can go to bed. That said, the duo erects a post on an empty piece of land. The next morning, the two men discover there is no pole, nor hole dug, and that the work they did was only a dream. The shepherd then wakes up to discover he is alone at the inn and that the whole incident was also a dream. Acts II and III explore the bridges between wakefulness and sleep that defy rational comprehension.
