An evening out takes an unpleasant turn in this short black comedy. Amir (Craig Glantz) and Amanda (Stacie Theron) are a couple who have been invited by to a small dinner party thrown by Grayson (Yuval Boim) and Karen (Monica Knight). Amir and Amanda have never met their hosts before, but another couple they know will also be attending . . . or at least that's the plan until Amanda receives a call en route that they're friends won't be able to make it. Having dinner with two complete strangers is uncomfortable enough for Amir and Amanda, but things quickly get worse when it becomes clear Grayson and Karen have been quarreling and respond with venom to almost anything anyone has to say. Written and directed by the Dumb Bunny team (Jessica Burstein and Robbie Norris), Abbie Cancelled was an official selection at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
