The history of the Cammaranos is the story of a crime family concerned only with perpetuating the logic of Mafia power. Since the late 1970s, they've gradually extended their territory, demonstrating a lack of scruples and pity, plus a fundamental, violent cohesion between family members. However, this balance, constructed on a hierarchical and oppressive scale, begins to waver. The younger generations of the family feel they are somehow being held ransom by a life they are no longer part of. It takes the simple gesture of Oreste, the young rebel son and innocent avenger, for everything to begin an inexorable process of gradual decline. Everything begins to implode within the palace, and soon it will all fall apart.
