Having lost his job and about to lose custody of his son, Leonardo Di Capri decides to commit suicide. But first he must deliver his child to the boy's mother, on the isle of Capri. Due to a strike, the normal boat to Capri isn't running, and so Leonardo boards an alternative ferry, called the Aitanic, to make the journey. On board the ship he meets lonely prostitute Giulia and the two fall in love. But soon after, the Aitanic hits a patch of rocks and the boat is sinking.
