St. Elmo, protector of the cold polar lands, decided that his presence was no longer needed in earth and that the hour had come for him to rest. He then sanctioned an oracle, Markos, to whom he granted special powers of the universe. Before departing St. Elmo fashioned a bond with humanity in the form of a baby girl, and presented her to his great friend St. Nicholas from the North Pole. The years passed by and the baby girl matured into a lovely young woman known throughout the Christmasland as Princess Auroele of Scintella, the Snow Princess and daughter of St. Nicholas. But soon the Princess is in danger and the only way to awaken St. Elmo from his eternal rest and save her and the rest of humankind is by uniting the Princess with a magical gemstone, hidden in a secret place in the Ice Mountains.
