Synopsis
Four estranged brothers; Ricky, Kevin, Jack and Carly return just before Christmas to their family estate on Cape Cod. As orphaned children they spent the summers there enduring the abuse of a governess after a boating accident took the lives of their affluent parents. In the initial days at the estate, the strained relationships between them reveal three of the men find fault with the youngest, Carly, for the apparent favoritism he received from the governess. The original purpose of the visit was to discuss selling the estate, but when a car crash seriously injures Carly the focus of the visit shifts and keeps the four men delayed far longer than any of them wanted to stay. They are forced to face memories around nearly every corner that they have spent years trying to forget. But as the stuttering Carly finds love with Fern, the deaf nurse hired by the family to care for him after his accident, the secret nature of his own abuse is revealed and the three older men, with nobody left to blame, must face the chaos in their own lives.
