John Moran suffers from a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary body movements and vocal outbursts, called tics. His condition has led him to spend his life in solitude. Confined to an old lodge, John grows obsessed with light-houses. After his keeper dies he becomes the Light-house Keeper of Otterholm, discovering a well at the heart of the light-house that has a mysterious pull. Soon John nightmares come to pass in the same tragic manner as that of the Light-house keeper before him.
