Charlie Barker is an immensely talented performer but it does not seem to be helping him land any roles of late. In fact, he has not had consistent work since moving back to New York to pursue a purer form of his craft. Meanwhile, his mediocre colleagues have achieved unprecedented success and this only makes him more bitter as he ages. Then one evening at an industry party, Charlie meets Clea, a vapid young twentysomething who unbeknownst to him has set him in her sights.
