When her sister Callie comes to live with her, Tricia's husband Daniel has been missing for seven years. Tricia finally decides to have Daniel declared "dead in absentia" and is trying to move on with her life when Callie is drawn to a tunnel near the house. Callie begins to connect the tunnel to other disappearances and is soon convinced that there is a force at work in it that had something to do with what happened to Daniel. And not only might he be suffering a fate worse than death, the force could be setting its sights on Tricia and Callie as well.
