Synopsis
Eighty-two-year-old Maria Schmidleitner is planning to spend some time on a houseboat in rural Brandenburg with her obese adult son Peter. No sooner are they on board the houseboat that Maria starts to henpeck Peter about his blood pressure and glucose levels. All Peter wants is her love. Everything comes to a head when the boat's motor conks out. The mother and son start to panic, and then suddenly, they discover a stowaway on board. While Peter feels strangely drawn towards the stranger, his mother becomes consumed by fear of the lack of control. All at once, Maria's bad behavior ramps up to a new level, involving violence and murder.
