A drama/ thriller set in the near future that follows the story of two sisters who have lived, for the majority of their lives, in a remote Northern California forest, where they were home-schooled by their mother, a former ballerina, and their father, a schoolteacher. Global changes of apocalyptic proportions add up to suddenly cut off all electricity and gas, leaving the family isolated in the woods, struggling to survive as society begins to crumble around them. No single event precedes society's fall. As they wait for power to return and consume the resources on hand, things take a turn for the worst when their mother passes away, and their father is killed in an accident. As the sisters grow into adulthood, they must reexamine their place in the world, their relationship to the land, and to one another.
