1983, France: Racial intolerance and related violence are common and teenage Mohammed is wounded during a police shooting. After leaving the hospital, he decides to launch a peaceful march for racial equality and is joined by two other teenagers and a priest. During the 600 mile walk from Marseille to Paris, they preach tolerance and non-violence, even though they are at times bullied and some of the participants begin to lose heart. Despite the difficulties, their movement will create a surge of hope and by the time they reach the end, will have gathered more than 100,000 people from along the way.
