Synopsis
The Carters and the Cashes are key figures in the American roots music dynasty. Hailing from the Appalachian foothills, Carters did not just play the music of their hill country upbringing. They helped invent it and influenced generations of musicians along the way, including one young man who seemed more renegade than reverent adherent. He would be the one to lift up the Carter legacy. - Johnny Cash. Here, we observe how the Carters rallied to help Cash tackle his substance abuse problems and how he helped to promot the Carters name and music.
