Synopsis
In New York City's West Village in 2006, four gay African-American women were brutally assaulted by a stranger. Because they defended themselves, they were wrested out of their supportive New Jersey families and given draconian prison sentences. Here, we return to the alleged crime scene, and through historical security footage, we observe the deplorable conduct of unscrupulous reporters and callous police officers. Here, we grapple with the troubling question: How would have this unfolded had it been four straight white women instead?
