Synopsis
This series explores the daily life of a village of ancient Egyptian craftsmen. The importance of the woman's role is examined in Ancient Lives: Women's Place. Egyptian women were revered for their ability to bear children. Every morning in ancient Egypt, temples began the day with a ceremony that is closely tied to the childbirth ritual, which ancient Egyptian religion related to the creation of the world. The program also explores the tender side of life with love poems written by both men and women of the village.
