Synopsis
The so-called alalum is a Greek theatrical tradition dating back to the time of Aristophanes, usually used to describe a performance full of unexpected improvisations and developments, a show in which anything can happen. In this three-part anthology featuring comedian Vassilis Triantafyllidis (aka "Harry Klynn"), the term also refers to unexpected developments and random craziness in real life. The first story casts Triantafyllidis as Detective Bekas from the Yiannis Maris crime novels, spoofing the detective genre in a story called "The Last Link in the Chain." The second -- "Meloprama" -- is a clever send-up of pretentious Greek art films. The final and most amusing segment, "Golfo," is a wicked examination of Greek politics through the story of the arrival of television in a rural town. Dimitris Piatis co-stars with Jolly Garbi, Manolis Destounis, and Kostas Tzoumas.
