Yiorgos Papakostas wrote and directed this sentimental Greek drama about a middle-aged mother (Gelly Mavropoulou) trying to simultaneously undertake a pilgrimage to Jerusalem in order to obtain a faith-based miracle cure for her disabled child, and protect her property back home from her greedy and ruthless husband. Somehow, through perseverance, the help of her handsome brother-in-law (Yiannis Fertis), and more than a hint of divine intervention, she achieves her goals. Familiar Greek character actors Stefanos Stratigos and Eleni Zafiriou co-star in this heartwarming, if occasionally melodramatic film.
