Synopsis
Special that combines animated adaptations of classic holiday songs with live-action shorts to celebrate Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa. Each segment is bridged by the humorous observations and anecodotes of a group of children talking about their holiday wishes, hopes and dreams. Musical performances include recordings of Nat King Cole's "The Christmas Song," Bing Crosby's "Jingle Bells" and Judy Garland's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." The program also features Louis Armstrong's 1971 reading of "A Visit From St. Nicholas."
