MGM and New Line Cinema presents a tale of Middle-earth never seen before with this fantasy adventure that bridges the gap between The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh executive produce the production, which will shoot simultaneously with The Hobbit. Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth) is attached to helm the feature, budgeted at 150 million dollars.
