A Taste of Honey songwriter dead

Ric Marlow, the man who co-wrote Grammy-winning instrumental A Taste Of Honey, has died aged 91.
He passed away on 28 February (17) in Palm Springs, California.
Marlow’s song, which was recorded by Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, picked up a Grammy in 1962 for Best Instrumental Theme.
Marlow, who also worked as an actor, appearing on such shows as Bonanza, Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum, P.I., wrote the song with Bobby Scott for the 1960 Broadway adaptation of Shelagh Delaney’s British play of the same name. It was also turned into a cult 1961 movie, starring Dora Bryan, Robert Stephens and Rita Tushingham.
In 1964, Alpert’s version of the tune picked up four Grammys, including Song of the Year.
The song, with added lyrics, was also covered by the Beatles, Barbra Streisand, and Tony Bennett, among others.
