Apoca-Let’s Hang Out: 11 Necessary Friends for the End

As my colleague Brian Moylan noted earlier today, television, cinema, the American public, and our other colleague Lindsey DiMattina are currently obsessed with apocalyptic scenarios. Why? I don’t really know. My best guess would be that everyone is bats**t crazy, but maybe those Mayans really were on to something.

The latest film to enter the extinction event canon is Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, a rom-com meets doomsday flick starring Keira Knightley and Steve Carell. Now Knightley and Carell are an undoubtably fun duo, but the film’s title and subject matter has me thinking that there are much better options out there when it comes to a catastrophic scenario. Like known violent psychopath Milania Giudice (five-year-old daughter of Teresa Giudice), or the lady who has all of those gourmet supplies on Doomsday Preppers. Neither of those viable candidates made the final list, but find out who did make the cut for my totally plausible “apoca-let’s hang out!” session:
