When 15-year-old day dreamer Yasmina gives birth to an illegitimate child, her conservative Muslim parents are shocked. Unaware their daughter was pregnant, they rush her to the hospital where a callous doctor puts her life at risk. After recovering from the birth, Yasmina is shamed by her family and practically driven to suicide. Only the compassion of her loving aunt saves her from despair.
