Astronauts | 2002
Daniel is a lonely and misanthropic artist in his thirties. For almost a decade he has been hooked on heroine, and now he has decided to give it up. His plan consists in going about the normal routine of an ordinary person. This means performing a list of ten perfectly simple tasks which he however finds extremely difficult to complete: washing himself daily, preparing nice meals, doing his shopping... Laura is a fifteen-year-old girl who has arrived in town in search of her elder brother. As far as she knows, her brother lives next door to Daniel's. Since he does not seem to be in, she decides to sit down on the landing and wait for his arrival. At first, Daniel tries to get rid of the girl, but this proves anything but easy. As she offers to help Daniel, new facts and features about her personality become apparent which reveal her special way of seeing life. Daniel, in turn, begins to wonder at the way in which she makes everything look easy.
