Bar brawl lands Nick Carter community service

Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter has been sentenced to community service as punishment for his bar brawl in January (16).
The singer and his friend Michael Rae Papayans were arrested outside a Key West, Florida bar after Carter allegedly grabbed a bouncer by the throat.
They were both charged with misdemeanour battery, but prosecutors have agreed to drop the charge against Carter if he completes 25 hours of community service over the next six months under court supervision. He also owes $300 (£187.50) in fees, according to local news station WTVJ.
Carter, who is preparing to become a first-time dad with his wife Lauren Kitt Carter, is not out of the woods just yet, as he’s also facing a lawsuit from the security guard, who alleges he was injured in the spat.
In the lawsuit, Skylar Carden accuses Carter of “striking and choking” him, and he is suing for mental anguish, pain and suffering, according to TMZ.com.
Carden’s attorney, Mark DiCowden, confirmed the legal action to the website, alleging the bouncer was attacked while doing his job.
