Synopsis

After newlyweds Adam and Barbara are killed in a car accident, they find that there is a long waiting list to get into Heaven. Before they can get their wings, they are required to haunt their old house for fifty years. Horrified to find the house is now owned by a couple of unbearably pretentious yuppies and their depressive teenage daughter, Adam and Barbara are determined to get rid of them. They are unable to scare the family away on their own, so they enlist the help of the wildly unattractive spirit, Beetlejuice. But the unpleasant and unpredictable Beetlejuice becomes even less trust-worthy when he falls in love the yuppie's daughter.
