‘Hostiles’ tells the story of Capt. Joseph J. Blocker (Christian Bale), an Army captain whose dealt with Native Americans all of his life. He’s seen what some of them have done, and he hates all of them for it. He’s tasked to take a well known Cheyenne Chief (Wes Studi) and his family through dangerous territory. While they make it look like a happy event in the town, Blocker treats them like savages. He and Rosalie Quaid (Rosamund Pike) may learn that not all Native Americans are savages, and they may even need their help on the trail.
‘Hostiles’ is receiving praises in the press and after today some are even calling it an Oscar snub. In the above interview go behind the scenes and hear from Director Scott Cooper about why he was so interested in making this film, Jesse Plemons and Bale explains Blocker’s predicament, Rosamund Pike loves that the story seems simple but has so much more to it then what it seems, Wes Studi likes how much went into making the story authentic, and Christian Bale goes into why they wanted to make this film so realistic.
‘Hostiles’ is out in limited theaters now, and wide on January 26, 2018.
