The Tough Filming Conditions of ‘The Finest Hours’ INTERVIEW

‘The Finest Hours’ is the true story of a Coast Guard units attempt at a dramatic rescue after an oil tanker is ripped in half off the coast of Cape Cod in 1952.

The members of the Coast Guard went through absolute hell in order to save the crew of that oil tanker, so in order to make a true film, the actors went through hell as well. In this interview Eric Bana wasn’t even sure how they could make the film, Casey Affleck talks about how going through tough conditions helps with the acting, Chris Pine tells us why they couldn’t complain (too much) about the tough set and Ben Foster is more appreciative of what service men and women go through:
