As movie-lovers, we’re always intrigued by the films that draw in huge audiences, and even bigger wads of cash. As we say goodbye to 2015, here are the 15 biggest box office hits of the year.
Hotel Transylvania 2

We all fell in love with Count Dracula and his lavish hotel for monsters when Hotel Transylvania premiered in 2012. However, the sequel kicked it up a notch when it debuted earlier this year. In Hotel Transylvania 2, we were introduced to Drac's super cute half-human grandson Dennis as the Count desperately tries to bring out the tot's vampy side. From the stunning 3D animation, to the hilarity of witnessing Dennis as a monster in training, its no wonder that Hotel Transylvania 2 racked in the dough at box offices around the world.

We can't think of anything better than a disaster movie starring Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock, and apparently we aren't alone in our thinking. Audiences around the world flocked to theaters to see San Andreas and The Rock as he fought to save people from a magnitude 9 earthquake. San Andreas did so well because it promised catastrophy porn and a smokin' hot bod, and it delivered on both of those things. Warner Bros. probably didn't even realize it had such as massive hit on its hands.

Though Ant-Man wasn't the biggest hit for Marvel in 2015, Rudd still amazed us as the ex-con turned miniature superhero. The film had an amazing cast and was hilariously funny (much more so than any other Marvel film to date). It's no wonder that Scott Lang and his army of ants infiltrated the box office. Oh and let's not forget Corey Stoll's epic performance as Darren Cross, the film completely killed.

Despite controversy and recasting, people zoomed into the theaters Valentine's weekend to see Christian Grey come to life on the big screen. Though we're still sorely disappointed that the man behind the flogger wasn't Charlie Hunnam. Clearly we aren't the only ones who like a little seduction in our lives. If you're missing Grey, don't get all twisted in a knot Fifty Shades Darker is set to hit theaters February 2017.

For four years we've watched Katniss Everdeen transform herself into the Mockingjay in order to overthrow the diabolical President Snow and free Panem from his clutches. Though we had to say goodbye to many of our favorite characters (both figuratively and literally) from the Hunger Games saga, Mockingjay, Part 2 gave us the send off that we all deserved, while scooping up all of our coins. Now all we have to do is hope that Jennifer Lawrence finds another fantastic YA series to become apart of.

Word is, Mission: Impossible VI is set to begin filming in 2016.

It was not just a brilliant idea to have a film that explores our emotions, but it was simply a delightful and colorful way of doing so. With Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith and Mindy Kaling voicing some of the best character in the film, its no wonder that Pixar gathered all of the dollars with this gem.
