Blue bandmates back in the studio for new album

British boy band Blue have regrouped in the studio to record a new album.
Singer Simon Webbe announced the news during a Facebook Live session for The Sun, revealing fans can expect a new album next year (18).
“You’ll be glad to know that right now we are in the middle of recording the next album,” he said. “Hopefully next year… We’ve all got our solo projects… so we’re going to be pretty busy for the next 12 months, but within that time we will be recording the Blue album.”
The project will be the band’s first since 2015’s Colours album was released.
Promoting his new solo album and single Smile, Simon also raved about bandmates Duncan James and Lee Ryan’s acting skills – both singers have landed roles in U.K. TV soaps Hollyoaks and EastEnders.
“I think Lee is very much in his comfort zone and I think he’s surprised a lot of people, including me,” he added. “I’ve always known how talented that boy was but as soon as I saw him on EastEnders I forgot he was my bandmate. I’m very, very proud to see Lee there.”
