Candy Crush, the game that launched 1,000 annoying Facebook requests, is getting the game show treatment. CBS has officially ordered Candy Crush, a one-hour, live-action game show where you get to watch people play the addicting mobile game — because there’s nothing more entertaining than watching other people play on their cell phones, right?

The game show, produced by Matt Kunitz, will have two teams of people using their “wits and physical agility to compete on enormous, interactive game boards featuring next generation technology to conquer Candy Crush and be crowned the champions.” Just when you thought your iPad was the biggest Candy Crush could get!

Glenn Geller, president of CBS Entertainment, is really psyched for the project. Obviously, he knows the value of playing Candy Crush on the subway when there’s no cellphone service, so it’s literally your only option to pass the time.

“We are huge fans of Candy Crush and, like so many others, we know the ‘rush’ of advancing to the next level of the game,” he said. “We’re excited to work with Lionsgate and King to adapt one of the world’s most popular and entertaining game franchises for television and make it available to its massive, passionate fan base who can watch and play along at home.”

Apparently, Geller isn’t off base. Candy Crush is somehow wildly popular. According to the press release there are an average of 18 billion Candy Crush Saga rounds being played around the world every month. Just in case being glued to your cell phone didn’t give you enough of your Candy Crush fix, CBS has totally got your back.

So far, the show has no premiere date and a host has not been announced, but we’re crossing our fingers for Tiffi Toffee, Yeti or the Bubblegum Troll.
