Child stars always seem like cute loveable kids, but when we grow up so do they and then we learn about what they had to go through.
Shia LaBeouf was a child star. LaBeouf stared on the Disney Channel series Even Stevens where he even won a Daytime Emmy for his performance. He would then go on to star in things like Holes, Constantine, Indiana Jones, and then the Transformers series. Then things started turning south for Shia in instances that made me even wonder if he was ok. His performance art from 2014 with the bag on the head made many think he would need help.
Now things are on the way up for LaBeouf. His film ‘Peanut Butter Falcon’ is currently sitting at 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and things feel like on the up for LaBeouf. He felt it was his time to tell his story, which is why I’m writing about him today with the trailer for the film Shia wrote, ‘Honey Boy’.
The film is the life of child star Otis at 12 (Noah Jupe) and much later in his life at 22 (Lucas Hedges). His father James (Shia LaBeouf) has pushed him since the young age to be in movies and tv, and as a child that sounds awesome. Later in his life though, things aren’t as awesome as he thought.
‘Honey Boy’ releases on Number 8, 2019.
